Yoga Instructor / Fitness Expert

If you were to ask me, “Who are you, Alex? Tell me about yourself.” A few years back, I might have shrugged my shoulders and modestly responded, “Wow, I'm not sure. I'm just a regular person going about her life.” However, that tune has changed quite a bit recently with all that is happening in our world as we know it. In fact, we all have changed, but now it’s time to change with the world and not let the world change who we truly are.

 

These days I would gladly declare that I am the mother of three amazing and energetic young boys. I am a dedicated wife, daughter, sister, and loyal friend to many. I am an avid runner, I love to cook, listen to any kind of music (sorry Country fans, that might be the exception!) travel (once the ban lifts) and spend time outdoors, dialed into nature. I don't take myself too seriously and my favorite medicine is laughter.

Why Yoga

Many years ago I reluctantly tried yoga at the urging of a friend "to just cross-train for running".  After experiencing the workout of a lifetime, I was hooked. Wanting to solidify the deal and teach this wonderful practice to others, I completed Yoga Sculpt Training, followed by 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga training registered with The Yoga Alliance.
 

I wholeheartedly believe in the mental and physical benefits of yoga for all people, all ages. In my unique sequencing, I incorporate yoga into any exercise to fully transform not only the body, but the mind as well.

CREDENTIALS

Alex Rimmele, MPH, BS, E-RYT 200, is a registered Yoga Teacher with The Yoga Alliance.  She earned a Master of Public Health degree at Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science degree at Loyola University. Along with pioneering Grit and Grace Yoga, Alex teaches at CorePower Yoga, Yoga By Degrees, The Recreation Center of Western Springs and Elite Fitness and Gym.

Fitness classes are a dime a dozen these days, but Alex R is a game changer! Her choreography, movements, musicality, energy, spirit and her knowledge of the body and mind is what makes her stand out and erase those moments of wanting to quit. She's amazing!​
